That is the result of five months of hard work. That is "The Log" - the guitar one achieves for five-starring the 40 career songs on Guitar Hero II on expert difficulty. That list includes Lynyrd Skynyrd's "Freebird", Dick Dale's "Misirlou", and many other hand-shattering songs. That Log is all mine. Send me some eprops. That is solely due to the fact that on it will be the game I mentioned in the last post: Pac Man Vs. With the DS version, there would be no GBA/Gamecube connectivity craziness. Also, you only need one cartridge to have the multiplayer action everyone knows and loves...awesome. So, all you DS-owners, get this and tell me how amazingly awesome it is, k?

Ni!

ROCK BAND!

I've speculated about THIS with at least three people, and now it is a beautiful reality. So I'm gonna go ahead and take claim to the band name "Implosion Beam Machine". I was totally pumped when I read that article this morning. I poured over the entire official site for any extra pieces of information.

Thanks to all the people that came to my birthday bash. I'm sorry for all you people that couldn't make it, because you missed Pac-Man Vs. Okay, let me give you a little background information. About three or four years ago, I heard about this game for the GameCube, and I wanted it...bad. I told alot of people about, one of which finally bought it. So Josh brought his copy along with a Gameboy Advance, and we pimped that game the whole time. Many people can attest to this games greatness.

Also, you missed Bawls.

And my semi-leet Guitar Hero skills.

Also, if anyone is looking for a Wii, I saw one sitting peacefully within the New Albany Wal-Mart. I was quite shocked to see it. So if you have a friend who really wants one and can't find it, go now. I will not guarantee that it is still there because it is quite the anomaly.

Ni!

Friday, March 23, 2007

Oh yeah! Get on Hwy. 78 heading towards Memphis.
2. Take the Blue Springs Exit (Next exit beyond the Sherman Exit).
3. Take a right at the bottom of the exit ramp.
4. You will come to an intersection. Take a left (Coleman's Shoe Store is to your right)
5. Drive for 5.2 miles.
6. At 5.2 miles, you'll be on top of a hill. You'll see a sign that reads "Speed Limit: 45 Over Hill". Turn right at the summit of this hill. This is Wallerville.
7. Drive a very short ways, and Wallerville Baptist Church will be on your left.

If anyone else plans on coming, please tell me. I've got a proposition for you. My 21st birthday is coming it, and, as alot of you know, I don't drink or gamble (or ever really plan on it). Instead, I'm going to try and celebrate with a totally geekish birthday with some Wii-Guitar Hero-Halo-DDR-etc. action going on. Now, the question is how many of you Tupelo persons would be willing to make the drive to New Albany for this bash? Just give me a comment that says, "aye!" or some such if you are willing. The date of this event will be March 24th. Thanks, peeps!

P.S. Also, if anyone could possibly think of a place in Tupelo in which it could be hosted, I would look into that as well.

Ni!
Thursday, February 08, 2007

It's been a while since I posted, so this will seem very, very random.

Just read this about 10 minutes ago: Guitar Hero is coming to the Wii!

Here is a project we had to do for Intermediate Computing Arts. The idea was to take the head of a person, and put it on a different body or object. Also, it needed to have some sort of statement. Also note that the background wasn't supposed to be important; I did mine in under a minute.

In case you are wondering, things are going well, just very busy. I'm taking 18 hours this semester (half of which are art studio classes), which leaves me with very little free time. I'd like to get back to posting more and doing the Star Wars comic, but as of late, I haven't had time. Wii.

I bet you can't guess what happens in less than a Wiik...

Speaking of which, I got my first hands-on with the Wii last night. It was a glorious experience. Let me flashback to Friday, though. On that day, I found that Wii systems were being received at multiple game shops in the area. I went to the Gamestop in New Albany only to find that their unit was not playable (They didn't have a remote yet (Or the Wii Startup Disc, probably)). I was saddened, but glad to finally see the thing in person. Last night, I walked into the GameStop within the mall and saw the Wiiosk. Unfortunately, it looked as though it wasn't set up either (A message on the screen said "no signal"). I started to walk out of the store, when I heard the clerk tell a customer "Yeah, you'll just have to give me your keys and drivers license." Normally, this wouldn't mean anything to me...I take that back - normally this would be quite a strange thing for a store's clerk to say to anyone. However, being a person well-versed in the internet-arts, I knew what this meant. The Wiimote is wireless, so to cause people from stealing them, GameStops have been forcing customers to give them a sort of collateral. I knew this and immediately turned around. It lay before me in his hands - the Wiimote. I gave up my belongings immediately, and waited for my turn. The playable demo was ExciteTruck - not a game I will be getting, but enough to let me see the Wii's capabilities. The guy ahead of me finished in 5th place...poser. He handed it over to me. I have to say, despite knowing the precise measurements of this little device, it was still smaller than I had imagined. It fits perfectly in the hand, too. It's obvious to see how much time was spent just getting the weight and size of this thing just right. Anyway, I played around on the menu and with the Mii channel for a while. The pointer function worked beautifully. Then I proceeded to play a couple rounds of ExciteTruck. The Wiimote is perfectly responsive. If that is one of your concerns, put it aside. It never missed a beat. After just a little while of playing, it felt perfectly natural, too. It was exactly how I expected it to be - gurrrr-eat! Well, I got 1st place both times...I thought it was a good way to start my Wii...ing.

My main reason for going to Tupelo, however, was to see Borat. I have to say, it was an extremely funny film. I haven't laughed aloud at a movie like that in a looong time. I must warn you, though, it will be offensive to alot of people...probably all people. Hilarious flick, though. Check it out. Of course, if April were writing this review, it would say something like, "This movie is dumb for the most part." Right. She's got no love for the Borat. He rocks, though, imo.

I hope everyone is doing well. I haven't heard from you in a while.

Ni!
Monday, September 25, 2006

I've finished the fourth installment of Star Warped, and it is the
